ms Sanctification.jpg

This is the fourth step in salvation

Having been Justified (declared righteous) we are now learning how to live a righteous life.

Sanctification- means to be purified and made holy; become more Christ like…..

This is a process that we all will go thru our entire lives. No living man apart from Jesus has ever been completely sanctified.

(1 John 3:2)

To be sanctified is to be “set apart” for the service of God. This is why the believers are called “saints” because it comes from the same root word meaning set apart ones.

This is the work of the Holy Spirit. That’s why were are told to walk in the Spirit, for the Spirit will lead us and guide us and teach and reprove us of our sins, and bring us into the will of God.

Just as we are justified by faith, we also are being sanctified thru our faith and have to walk in our faith.

As we continue to live a holy life, we become more and more like Christ. But this does not mean that we won’t ever sin again, only now we have the power to resist sin thru the power given us by God-(Holy Spirit).

2 Thessalonians 2:13
13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved

of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
